Privacy Policy, and a statement regarding Web Environment Integrity

Posted on 2023-07-28 02:16:36 UTC

We have recently published a privacy policy, which can be accessed in the footer bar of our website. Most of the information is pretty standard for the majority of basic websites on the internet, and we don't collect anything more than we really need to for the website to operate securely and in a performant manner for our users.

In other news, four Google engineers have recently drafted a browser authentication scheme called "Web Environment Integrity", which is being dubbed as a "DRM for the internet" and "an end of ad blockers". As soon as knowledge of this "feature" started gaining knowledge across internet users, they forced the "feature" into Chromium, which will mean it will soon appear in Chrome and Electron apps worldwide. We have no interest in implementing this on our website, and we recommend switching browsers. Vivaldi currently claims they will not implement it, as well as Firefox (at least unofficially, as of writing this post), but only time will tell how things turn out in the coming weeks and months.

On a side note, we currently do not employ Google Analytics, nor ads, and no javascript.

Thank you for your interest in NUBI, stay safe out there.
